Bold design brand Darkroom set up GREEN HOUSE café at Old Shoreditch Station full of plants, furniture and an array of patterned home ware. Visitors could drink coffee amongst the foliage, browse the new collections and even take part in one of Darkroom’s rope and terracotta plant hanger making workshops.

The Darkroom concept is defined by a love for the bold and the brave, the crafted and the curious. It strives to make good design accessible, whilst also questioning the norm.

Darkroom launched as a design store in 2009 and it’s black-walled, joyous graphic interior and unique aesthetic changed the landscape of retail in London for 7 years. In 2016 reacting to the challenges of contemporary retail, they began to specialise in pop-up experiences. Their display last year during London Design Festival was held on a Canal Boat.

Darkroom’s installation provided the perfect rest place in-between looking around The Shoreditch Design Triangle. If you are having Design Week blues, the Darkroom display is on until the 1st of October.
