Join Sans Pere to celebrate their first Noël with late-night shopping, festive workshops, food and boozy coffees each Thursday in the lead up to Christmas. On Thursday 14th, discover the art to making the perfect cup of coffee with a home brewing workshop run by one of the UK’s top three baristas, Paul Ross. On the 21st, learn how to enhance your Christmas cards by trying your hand at brush lettering with calligrapher, Alice Gabb.
Coffee brewing with Paul Ross | 14th December 7pm-8.30pm
Learn how to make the perfect cup of coffee with Paul Ross, one of the UK’s top 3 baristas.
The course begins with a tasting session, giving you the opportunity to discover a range of specialist coffees, learning about flavour notes and bean origins along the way.
Select your favourite beans and learn how to weigh, grind and extract to perfection, creating your very own perfect brew.
Each participant will then get to select, grind and take home a bag of coffee to practice with.

Brush Lettering with Alice Gabb | 21st December 7pm-9pm
Add a little extra to your Christmas decorations, cards and gifts this year with this brush lettering workshop.
Join stationery designer and calligrapher, Alice Gabb, for a beginner’s guide to brush lettering.
The course starts from scratch with an introduction to brush lettering techniques. Following this, Alice takes you through some practice exercises and allows you to experiment with letter forms. By the end of the lesson you will be able to write your name, a favourite quote or even some words that mean a lot using the art of brush strokes.
Bring an eye for detail and some extra patience for your lettering practice. Brush lettering is harder for left handers to learn, but it is possible!
