darc room moves to Nicholls & Clarke Building on Shoreditch High Street for 2018.
Following the critical success of the inaugural event last year, darc room will now be held in the heart of London’s design district, Shoreditch during London Design Festival 2018.
darc room is taking place on 19 & 20 September from 12pm-10pm (with drinks from 6pm – 10pm) at Nicholls & Clarke Building on Shoreditch High Street is just around the corner from Shoreditch High Street Station and 10 minutes walk from Old Street underground station.
Paul James, director of darc room, commented: “I’m delighted that we have secured this venue in the heart of London’s design district. The Nicholls & Clarke building is a historic venue conveniently located on Shoreditch High Street. Last year’s event was a critical success and we plan to build on that this year with many new exhibitors and educational content.”
Organised by darc room exhibition ltd in association with creative consultants, Light Collective, darc room is London Design Festival’s lighting destination and features 50 exhibitors, 40 live stream talks
(darc room : live) and 8 free-to-attend workshops (darc room : workshops) – all in a creative space with a unique exhibiting concept.
Speakers include representatives from 18 degrees, Arup, BIID, BDP, Design Plus Light, GIA Equation, Haberdashery, Hoare Lea, IALD, Light Bureau, Lighting Design International, Neolight, Nulty, SEAM, Society of Light & Lighting, Speirs + Major and Staffan Tollgard Design Group.
Professionals who should attend darc room include lighting designers, architects, interior designers, engineers and product designers.
“Lighting is becoming increasingly important in the specification and contract sectors, especially with the complexities of LED and control, so it is vital that anyone involved in project specification is up-to-date with all the latest lighting technologies. Visitors to darc room will be able to get a valuable insight into lighting by talking to the exhibitors and attending the educational content,” added James.
