Redchurch Street shopfronts will showcase Cabinets of Curiosities, an exhibition featuring the work of local artists, fashion and jewelry designers and creative community groups in some of the Street’s best loved shops, cafes and bars.
This project showcases the breadth of our creative community, from independent designers to community groups exploring art and design as a way to form deep rooted connections. Visitors are invited to help celebrate and uplift those who make Shoreditch a celebrated creative hotspot.
Each stop has a vinyl window ‘cabinet’ featuring a local talent, with QR codes to allow visitors to discover more about both participants and their hosts.
Participants include: community organisations Rich Mix and Oitij-Jo; fashion designers Carla Palazzo and Revive; jewelry designers Meta and Rachel Entwistle; artists Stephen Ritter, Victor van de Wiele and Arma Works; and creative co-designers, CO ‘X. The cabinets can be found in the windows of Sweaty Betty, Aime, Kite, Anatome, Earl of East, Timothy Everest, Allpress, Rachel Entwistle, Franze & Evans and Owl & Pussycat.
