CORQUE DESIGN @ London Design Fair

CORQUE DESIGN @ London Design Fair

By ana.mestre- 20th September - 23rd September 2018

This year CORQUE presents its CELLULA book case concept at the London Design Fair, as part of the collective exhibition, “The best of Portugal by Associative Design”.

CELLULA is one of the cork pieces that integrates the essence of the iconic CORQUE design furniture and accessories collection. CELLULA was inspired by the natural cellular structure of the cork organism, interpreting it in a fun and unique product. The product consists of 6 modules that can be organized according to the needs of the user in a “puzzle” format. The modules are made of high density natural agglomerate cork.

Corque Design introduces a new global brand concept – “Designing Living Objects” – the design of high quality, exclusive and differentiated products made from cork with unique sensorial properties and exceptional environmental characteristics, for an audience that prizes creativity, functionality and sustainability conscious design.

“This is a Portuguese brand with its own seal of quality. Environmental awareness, a vision of sustainability, the questioning of established paradigms and a search for new solutions. Any challenge worth undertaking involves a good deal of irreverence along the way. This is the spirit in which Corque Design was created” (International Direct Arts International Magazine, 2013).
