#DW15Years: Botanical Cat Embroidery Wor...

By donnawilson- 22nd September 2018

Join Tokyo-based textile artist Kanae Entani for an afternoon of hand embroidery.

During this workshop, Kanae Entani will teach you the basics of hand-embroidery. You will learn to stitch flowers and leaves to decorate your own botanical cotton cat!

All materials and refreshments will be provided, and no machine skills or prior experience of embroidery are needed.

Kanae Entani moved from Japan to the UK at the age of nineteen to study Textile Design. After working as an assistant to London based designers Donna Wilson and Lizzie Finn, she began a career as a freelance embroidery artist working for clients such as Nike, creating artwork for promotions and advertisements. Since 2011 she has continued her embroidery work back in Japan, with several solo exhibitions in galleries and shops, and runs embroidery workshops from her studio in Tokyo.

This event is part of Donna Wilson’s 15th year celebration at London Design Festival.
