Revealed: the secrets of our SUCCESS!
Special guest: SUCCESSFUL potter Linda Bloomfield, champion of nature and sustainability
GREEN GRAD Claudette Forbes (HND Ceramics Morley College) exhibited with GREEN GRADS in London and Manchester, where she won the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair’s Showcase Award. She currently shows at the Boomer Gallery, and sells at the Kiln Rooms. Her “moothane” cows are a protest against the polluting production of beef.
At the recent GREEN GRADS London show, GREEN GRAD Angela Ford (Product & Furniture Design, Kingston School of Art) won the Show Impact Award – presented by Jay Blades. Her project Raw Origins powerfully advocates for foraging.
GREEN GRAFD Christoph Kurzmann (Rycotewood Furniture Centre, Oxford Brookes University(, won a CHANGE MAKER Award at GREEN GRADS’ recent London show. He now has a thriving business for his elegant upcycled stools and storage made from discarded student bedroom furniture. And he’s in dialogue with Benchmark, a craft-based furniture brand leading the way in sustainability.
Special guest: Linda Bloomfield “queen of glaze,” with a PhD in engineering and materials science, is a now successful potter. She champions nature and sustainability. Her lichen series replicates crusted growths on rocks – “so vulnerable to air pollution.”
