Surely it’s time to question rather consume. We are increasingly programmed to accumulate and we look at the home as a validating repository of objects. But what we collect and what mood it all creates betrays our preoccupations and concerns. The display will present evocative objects, including plates, wallpaper and books all informed by personal and shared pasts to highlight and challenge contemporary aspirations.
Studio Tucktite is a creative agency headed by Michael Czerwinski specializing in collaborative public engagement interventions. The Idiom Home Show is a collaboration with design curator Margaret Cubbage with further contributions from a range of design academics, designers and contemporary makers.
