@illustratorsfair returns as a live market.
18 December. 11am-5pm
On 18 December we will be taking over the ‘Crossing’ at Granary Square, King’s Cross, to host a live illustration market to close the festive retail season.
The event is produced by Studio Tucktite, a Shoreditch based creative agency behind the digital @illustratorsfair.
The date has been secured after negotiations with Central St Martins College of Art as this is the giant entrance hall area to their campus. Due to the current situation their semester has shifted by one week, so this year they will be closing one week later than normal. We always work around their term dates as the fair is so big it would cause disruption regarding access for their students.
We know the space has a capacity of 104 stalls, but we are now reviewing this regarding Covid guidelines. However, this tried and tested layout always incorporated wide isles and walkways with space between stands, so we don’t think capacity will be decreased too much.
There will be a fee of £89 to take part in this one day fair. This is the same amount charged in 2019 for the two fairs held in the space that Christmas – including Crafty Fox.
We have to charge as we have overheads to cover. Table hire, staffing etc. We believe in paying all our staff properly and implementing strong event management systems to ensure our exhibitors can promote and sell in a safe well organised environment. The project will be run to a ‘not for profit’ model. Once all overhead and staffing costs are met surplus funds will be reinvested to further market the event.
As well as having a stand at the live event, each exhibitor will also be showcased on the @illustratorsfair social media platforms that have grown from strength to strength over the last year.
If you would like to apply to take part please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you further information.
Demand may exceed capacity, so there will be a selection procedure in place.
We look forward to hearing from you
