For the fourth year running, Ace Hotel London will collaborate with Modern Design Review for Ready Made Go 4. London-based designers will create objects that will be integrated into the fabric of the hotel to be used and enjoyed by festival attendees and hotel guests during the week and beyond.
With items ranging from small and practical everyday essentials like hooks for the bedrooms to chairs for the lobby table to more ambitious larger installations that go beyond temporary exhibition pieces, all products are designed to serve a real purpose and address specific problems. For the very first time, Ready Made Go will present a display to showcase work from previous years, which will be accompanied by a free audio guide. Some of the products will be available to buy and most will have a focus on social enterprise.
As the main hub of the Shoreditch Design Triangle, Ace Hotel London is a central destination during the festival, boasting events from exhibition launches to live installations to a launch event with specially designed party games.
Founded and edited by Laura Houseley, Modern Design Review magazine is a publication that celebrates the inexhaustibly inspiring and the vital world of modern product and furniture design. The publication offers a considered and curated insight into modern design through original and creative storytelling, along with contributions from talented photographers, writers and designers.
