Following their worldwide launch at ICFF in New York in May, SCP present three new designs for 2017 at the London Design Festival. They are a new sofa system by Matthew Hilton, an upholstered cocktail chair by Philippe Malouin, and a bone china collection of chandeliers by Reiko Kaneko.
Miles by Matthew Hilton
With comfort and adaptability in mind, long time SCP collaborator Matthew Hilton has created the Miles sofa system. A modular design that allows for numerous seating configurations, it is distinguished by details such as the stitched in line that runs around the seat and arm cushions.
Group by Philippe Malouin
A designer new to SCP, Philippe Malouin has created the Group chair, a charming compact upholstered cocktail chair that revolves on a swivel base. The design uses primary shapes in a particularly concise way; to form the base, back and seat.
Yumi by Reiko Kaneko
Reiko Kaneko is a designer who has established a reputation as one of the leading ceramicists in Britain. Her creative gifts have been used in the design of a chandelier collection called Yumi. Elegant in conception and execution, it is made from clear and gold anodised aluminium tubes, machined components and dappled bone china light shades, which are made in Stoke on Trent.
