SCP has joined forces with British lighting brand, Tala, for Under the Arches – a one-day immersive furniture and lighting exhibition.
Located in a former train station booking office, beneath the overground railway bridge at Shoreditch’s busiest intersection, Under the Arches celebrates East London’s creative history and the best of British design.
Spanning 3000 sq ft, the exhibition will feature three specially curated roomsets comprised of both brands latest designs, situated within the two beautifully-restored arches that characterise the unique design of the space.
Tala will be unveiling the newest product in the Voronoi collection, and the world’s largest sculptural bulb, the Voronoi III. The brand will also be celebrating the U.K. launch of its Basalt collection, first shown at Euroluce back in April, and its Porcelain collection which is now on the market.
SCP are showcasing the Group chair by Philippe Malouin from their new 2017 Collection, alongside the Continuous sofa by Faudet-Harrison. Both pieces are upholstered in Kvadrat’s new Skye fabric by British designer Georgina Wright. Peggy, SCP’s multi-functional table system created for the modern workplace or home, will also create a perfect space for working, meeting, eating or socialising.
Linking the arches will be a bespoke, introspective mirrored light display, made up of one-hundred light bulbs. Designed by Tala, the mirror will respond to the movements of those who come into close contact with it.
