What Makes A Studio? 121 Collective!

Join Salah Krichen and Madoka Ellis from 121 Collective and Josephine Ryan Gill as they discuss what makes a studio. This series of talks sees designers and graduates discuss studio culture, collaboration, and the future of design.

Salah Krichen and Madoka Ellis are two of the founders of 121 Collective, a young architectural design and make practice with a special appreciation for craft, community, and sustainability. The collective is formed of 6 Kingston University alumni with a mutual interest in collective thinking, making, doing, and constantly learning from one another both creatively and culturally.

Josephine Ryan Gill is a designer and thinker with a desire to challenge our understanding of the role of design in society. She is interested in design’s potential as a tool for change, looking to open conversations about the intersections between design, people and the planet. She works in the Social, Political, Joyful, and Critical
