Master bespoke shoemakers Carreducker are champions of the craft of handsewn shoemaking. They design and make beautiful bespoke shoes and boots for private customers at their Shoreditch workshop and showroom and deliver tailored bespoke shoe services at Gieves & Hawkes, Savile Row and James Purdey & Sons, Mayfair.
Since 2006, Carreducker have established themselves as THE English handsewn shoemaking school, taking up the baton from Cordwainers College. They share their skills, enthusiasm and passion with aspiring shoemakers worldwide through their You Tube channel; shoe making blog; and practical online and face-to-face courses teaching the centuries-old skills and techniques of handsewn shoemaking and leathercraft at their workshop on the Hoxton/Shoreditch/Islington borders. Their training programme has grown from one course a year to a full-blown syllabus of practical courses, classes and workshops in shoe making, leather work and footwear pattern making taught by practising industry experts.
Carreducker are also the only shoemakers to be included in the permanent collection at The Design Museum, London where their film of the handsewn craft and display of tools and materials can be seen.
