Ella Doran is an award winning designer-entrepreneur who has been running her own East-London based business since the late 90s. Her main focus is on creating photography-based images and patterns and she pioneered their application on functional everyday products when digital printing technologies were first developed.
Ella’s photography, mark-making and textile design skills have since been commissioned by commercial, charitable and private clients, from The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Glasgow School of Art and Tate to The John Radcliffe Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, John Lewis, Paloma Picasso, and Portmeirion.
Striving to produce sustainably in collaboration with her manufacturers, Ella also promotes the design industry’s shift toward a circular economy through various public engagement and student teaching projects.
The Ella Doran homewares range features regular launches of brand new capsule collections, as well as ongoing classic collections. Ella’s boundless curiosity and great eye for colour, nature and form ensure that her homewares are always innovative and inspiring, as well as witty, functional and fun.
