ìssí is an interdisciplinary Artist trained in architecture. Based in London.
ìssí’s work questions cultural separation by architectural re-imaginations. The work dwells on the narratives of liminality, negotiation and disobedience; tracing these narratives from the field of cultural studies – crossing race – and into the territory of architecture.
Lost to interpretation, his work asks to be misinterpreted, to fabricate questioning and provoking discovers of new readings that unsettle our ‘normal’ cultural and racial binaries.

THISS is a RIBA chartered, London based, interdisciplinary architecture and design studio led by Tamsin Hanke and Sash Scott.
Driven by a sense of adventure and curiosity, their projects and collaborations are situated in landscape and memory where they design around, through and within big ideas, finding ways to make challenging things happen.
Tamsin is an ARB and RIBA registered Architect with experience in the retail, hospitality, commercial, education and residential sectors.
Prior to founding THISS, Tamsin worked for Niall McLaughlin Architects to deliver highly crafted, large scale buildings. Formerly Tamsin worked for Michaelis Boyd Architects gaining experience in the hospitality and retail sectors as well as working to deliver high end residential projects in West London and Southern France. Tamsin previously lived in Iceland working for a local landscape-driven design practice focusing on projects in the tourist and hospitality sectors (when not skiing across frozen Arctic landscapes).
Tamsin is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Bartlett School of Architecture where she runs a Design Unit focusing on contemporary making and experimental processes. This context of research and experimentation keeps the studio astride of innovations in design, concepts, critical theory and digital manufacturing.
